Also there are so many people who are homeless and people who have NO family. Because there is so much emphasis on "family gatherings" and get togethers...it is important that we remember those who do not have that closeness. I was just in an old folks home last week and saw so many people who have been just left there...and don't have family visit them. Also, just down the road is a foster home where kids have no real family. I like to make it a point to connect with these people who are alone...to help make them feel less alone.
